Kitchen Vastu: The Heart of the Home

The kitchen represents the element of fire in Vastu Shastra. The best direction for establishing a kitchen is the southeast corner of the house. If southeast is not possible, the northwest is the second-best alternative. Avoid placing the kitchen in the north, northeast, or southwest directions, as it may lead to family disputes and financial losses. The person cooking should preferably face the east direction. Maintain a safe distance between the fire (stove) and water (sink) elements to prevent conflicting energies from clashing.
